How to Download Movies to Your Computer Safely and Free

Paying for movies is overrated. If you don't mind watching them on in a little bit lesser quality then you should find this blog useful. There are a lot of websites that let you view new and old movies on their site, but you can't download the movies strait to your computer. Some sites do allow you to download from their site but they can load your computer with malware and viruses, thats not good for anyone. I use a helpful program that lets me download any flash video on the internet to my computer. The program is free and easy to use. It is called Realplayer. Go to www.real.com/realplayer to download it. The program is like iTunes but with the feature to download flash videos from any site.
After you download Realplayer, you have to find websites that have good flash movies on them. I recommend www.movie2k.com to lookup the movie you want or to just browse through what they have. When you find a movie you like either choose it from Loombo.com or from Novamov.com. Loombo is the best site to get it from because it tends to have the best quality "available" and they resize their movies so they load faster. You can also try www.megavideo.com
When the movie is playing if you put your cursor over the movie a little box will show on the top right of the movie. click on the "Download This Video" button. Then your video/ movie will start downloading to your computer. The only downside is it takes a little while to download a full length movie depending on your internet speed (30 min to 6 hours).
The movie will be in flv format which means only Realplayer can play it. Luckily the newest version of Realplayer allows you to change the format to any kind you want so you can play it on Windows Media Player or iTunes etc. The only problem I have is converting it takes forever when using Realplayer (7+ hours). I have alternative methods to doing this so if you would like to know what I do just reply to this blog. My method takes less than an hour compared to the 7 hours it takes Realplayer.
I have not had any problems with Realplayer or any viruses or malware so I am saying this is very safe to use.
